The University: Universidad Complutense de Madrid

The "Universidad Complutense" is the largest and one of the more ancient and renowned Spanish Universities, with a background of more than 700 years of history. It hosts over 100,000 students, just in undergraduate programmes, offering a wide range of university degrees in three different sites.

The "Facultad de CC. Economicas y Empresariales" (School of Economics and Business Administration) was created in 1944. It is located in the Somosaguas Campus, just 10 km (north-west) away from the centre of Madrid, surrounded by forests and residential areas. Apart from sports and catering facilities, it has a computerised library with more than 118,000 volumes and over 2,400 subscriptions to business reviews and magazines.

The faculty includes 370 lecturers, of which 170 belong to the permanent staff. In addition to four undergraduate programmes, the "Facultad de CC. Economicas y Empresariales" offers several full-time postgraduate programmes that could be categorised as specialised MBAs.

The most internationally renowned is the Master in Financial Management (MFM - Magister en Gestion Financiera), which was established in 1989.
